As the people here have said, it's important that you test and provide valuable information on what the insulin is doing for Chirpie. I see you do your shots at 10am/10pm. It's not uncommon, especially to help determine the right dose, to do some overnight tests if at all possible. If you stay up late, a +3 test would be helpful, and a +6 test even better. I know that means getting up at 4am, been there done it, but it's invaluable information. Same during the day, get those extra tests in. It will pay off down the road. The people here can't offer advice on Chirpie's insulin requirements without the data. I hope that makes sense.
She will not bet more regulated if you just test and shoot +12's. Also, you don't always see the immediate effects with lantus, that's why with the increase, over the next few runs, you need some test data.
Have you tested for keto's again. With high numbers like that is VERY important. Make a note in your log when you have.
