Good morning, LL!! Everyone got your
? Good! Settle in, I've got a story to tell!
AMPS today is 192- Awesome! Much better than last night's stinkus pinkus PMPS for sure. The alarm went off and no snooze time for the bean today. Meow, meow, scratch at the door, time to get up! There's a little bruise on his ear today, I think I hit too close to that vein last night, maybe. It doesn't look serious and he's not complaining. He's spunky and playful and did a really elaborate food dance for his brefffist. I sang the happy birthday song for him while he ate.
And now, since it's his birthday, I am going to tell the story of Chaos's origins. I promised arranged marriage, gender bending and plot twists, and I will not disappoint.
It was February of 2000. I worked as a waitress. Don, my manager, and Tim, another waiter, both had cats and had shown each other pictures of them. Don thought his kitty, Princess, would have exceptionally pretty kittens with Tim's boy cat, Sebastian. Don and Tim made arrangements for the two cats to have a "date" after work on Valentines's day. Well, Valentine's day rolled around and I walked into work that morning to find Tim making iced tea. The following exchange took place:
Me: "How's it going, Tim? Ready for the big kitty date tonight?"
Tim: "Well" Tim said, "a funny thing happened with Sebastian last night."
Me: "really? What was that?"
Tim: "He had kittens...but only two of them."
Me: (stunned, but recovering quickly) "Well, you know, Tim, boy kitties have smaller litters than girl kitties."
And so Princess never got her date, Don never got his exceptionally pretty kittens, and Tim received a Stupid Human Award for #1, not realizing his cat was female and #2, not realizing she was pregnant. I guess if you can't get #1 right you'll never get #2, eh? Six weeks later I brought home a tiny white ball of fluff, called him Chaos, and have loved him these past eleven years. Happy Birthday, buddy!!
