Bit of excitement late in the PM cycle had me nailbite_smile . It's interesting to see some patterns forming though. I got up for the +10 based on what happened after he earned his first dose reduction on 02/02 to find a similar situation going on. I'd gone to bed really early in preparation for such activity and was not disappointed :-D

Recap:
322 AMPS
328 +4
290 +6.5
290 + 10
281 PMPS
250 +6
86 +10
106 +11

Re: 02/12 Vyktor AMPS 110

Wow for Vyktor. Very exciting day for you both. I was watching earlier but didn't want to get in the way of your getting help. You are really in sync with him.

Re: 02/12 Vyktor AMPS 110

Mike here. Vyktor is looking good. I put a couple of pictures of Gus sleeping on Gracies condo.

Re: 02/12 Vyktor AMPS 110

Great catch on the +10 and nice to see he had a rise for the PS, Great Hooting! Isn't it wonderful when you figure out what they are going to do!

Re: 02/12 Vyktor AMPS 110 +2 90

Looks like we could be in for an exciting day! He ate at AMS and also at +1.5 so that 90 likely has a bit of food involved nailbite_smile

He's been out patrolling his territory and I fancy that his tail was especially high - I think he knows he's done good :-D Currently curled up in a lounge chair on the back patio having a little cat nap - barely lifted an eyelid for his test.

Pharmacology question for you - Vyktor's dental is coming up next Friday nailbite_smile The issue is which antibiotic to give (he has at least one FORL so there will be extraction/s). Vyktor cannot be pilled at the best of times let alone with a sore mouth. Vet is keen on giving a shot of Convenia but I understand this is not the best dental antibiotic and he had a shot of that on 12/31/2011 so I believe some will still be floating around in his system (not sure if this matters) and also I have noted some beans' comments that Convenia has worked for them a couple of times but then stopped having effect so if this may happen with Vyktor I would rather save the Convenia for potential later use.

Vet, nor I, think I'll be able to give Clavulox liquid (which he says is the best dental antibiotic) due to Vyktor's aversion to having things 'shoved down his throat' so we are considering Doxycycline which apparently comes in a caramel flavoured paste. I may be able to give Vyktor this in a pill pocket if he doesn't hate the taste. I asked the vet about sugar in it but he said it was the type of sugar (he couldn't remember which type) that didn't affect BG in diabetics. I haven't been able to find anything about types of sugars that are ok for diabetics by googling so I'm not sure what he meant or if he know's what he's talking about.

What do you think :?: do you know anything about this Doxycycline paste :?:

Hey Serryn, I know you are nervous about the dental but it is going to be OK! It is just PTDS (Pre-traumatic Dental Syndrome)! We all come down with it from time to time

Clavulox or Clindamycin are the best dental antibiotics - you want to cover staph and strep, and also anaerobes. Doxy does a fairly good job at this as well and would be a good second choice if the other 2 won't work for you guys. I had not heard of the Doxy paste so I did a little searching, and it looks like it's made by Pfizer's New Zealand branch and is a Down Under thing. Here is a link: http://www.pfizeranimalhealth.co.nz/sites/pfizeranimalhealth/Pages/Vibravet.aspx

However I could not find any information about inactive ingredients - it looks like it is a proprietary formula. You may want to call the company to find out for sure what the carb count is... sounds like it could be high if it's caramel flavored.

If you need to use Clavulox or Clinda, you could try mixing the liquid into some tuna or something else that Vyktor really likes. Or you can do a kitty burrito - not ideal but it can really help! It is good that you have some time to figure this out, good luck and let me know if I can help you in any way!

Wow, really nice to see such nice numbers from Vyktor :-D Keep it up buddy!!
And be sure to leave your mamabean some extra furs on her dresses.

Re: 02/12 Vyktor AMPS 110 +2 90 +3 83 +4 79 +5 88 +6 113

I guess I have to call it now, there's no food involved in his +6, if his previous pattern holds he's going to shoot up from here  going to give his little ears a rest until +10 now.

I just looked at Vyktor's SS, Serryn, and how exciting it must be for you to see those blues and greens emerge! I'm happy that he's doing so well. It seems a good time to have that dental work done. 'Atta boy, Vyktor!

Re: 02/12 Vyktor AMPS 110 +2 90 +3 83 +4 79 +5 88 +6 113 +10

As predicted - BOING!!!

But just when I got done with Vyktor's excitement for the day Meg rabbit had some excitement of her own. She was out in the yard minding her own business and nibbling on some grass when I heard a thud looked up and saw that she was now hiding under a bush with the dreaded falcon right beside her. I think my heart will stop racing sometime next week.

I can relate to predator terror. We have coyote, fox, and bears in our suburban neighborhood. The boys are pretty good about staying in the fenced yard, but they've been known to jump the fence, and then I panic, even though they may just be in the neighbor's yard.

How about Vyktor's surf tonight! Whoo-hoo Vyktor!
