Very hungry again this morning, gulping his food.

No, Bandit's Mom, I don't use an autofeeder. I do the AM and PM meals (and insulin) and my husband does the LC snacks mid-day and at night if necessary. I've never seen an autofeeder; I'll look at them but I have 2 civvies, one on a low-protein, low-P diet for CKD. Not sure it would work. Also, since the pandemic, I work from home one or two days/week, so we manage.

Bhooma might have mentioned that when a kitty is coming back from remission, you’ll need to be more aggressive with dosing to try and get him back into remission.

Can your hubby text him during the day so you can do TR?

All good points, thanks for reviewing his numbers, but a couple of things:

-He's not a TR candidate as he still gets kibble as a treat - about a tsp twice a day.
-A second remission would be great, but it is not really my goal. My vet tells me it is far less likely, and that kind of tight regulation might put him at increased risk of hypoglycemia. He wants me to aim for BG 10-12 (180-220?), hopefully below renal threshold. With lockdowns ending and work returning to outside the home, he will be alone all day. He has not to this point had ketones.
-He is palliative re: the mediastinal lymphoma, so it's all about QOL right now.
-My husband is very reluctant about testing when I'm not home, so far refusing. He's squeamish about needles anyway. I've taught him insulin and watched him inject, but I've noticed higher-than-usual morning sugars the day after my husband does the evening insulin (see 01/14 and 02/10). So some if not all are fur shots? I don't have an alternative, so he's doing some more under my supervision. It freaks Binnie out to have us both hovering over him, so he does the duck and dodge, complicating matters.

I'm working at home today so aiming for more BGs.
