Feeling very positive here
The last two days we have been down to one wee each and again there was no wee overnight last night. Even though I got one two days ago I grabbed another urine test this morning - it was the first urine test that's shown anything other than dark brown for glucose - it was negative!!! Happy dance was duly performed
The bad news is I dropped the nearly full lantus bottle after drawing last night’s PMS
– I didn't drop it all the way to the floor just onto the kitchen bench but I guess it was still like shaking it. Will wait for his numbers to show if I've ruined it  or should I just ditch it and start a new one? I don't want to spoil the roll that he's on!
I emailed our ‘people helpline’ yesterday to find out exactly how reduced hours will affect me and hopefully they will get back to me within a week (leave entitlements and super are at least two things other than actual take home pay that will be affected). In the meantime I still have 25 hours of flex time ‘in the bank’ so I don’t need to make a decision urgently.
Unfortunately I can not work from home, it’s not that I can’t physically do the work at home but everything I work with is confidential information so it is not allowed to leave the office
It would also be very difficult (if not impossible) for me to try and manage his numbers using food with different carb levels. Binky's list is no good for Australia and although I have tried contacting many of the cat food manufacturers I generally have either had no response at all (to repeated enquiries) and/or I have been given several different answers to the same question. FF is a case on point - first they told me one variety had zero carbs but when I asked how this could be possible when it contained cereal they said oops, it actually has 1.5% carbs, then when I had someone else recheck they were told 4.5% carbs
Special thoughts for Sid and Lydia - keep flushing those ketones!
