Looks like our kitties are running down similar paths just now, though Willow has spent much more time in the water than Thomas. Maybe they could help each other venture out a bit further, without getting in trouble.

Thomas is coming along beautifully...they both keep popping up out of the water at the end, though, little buggers. Getting better though
