I’m not sure if he might have had a midnight snack to cause the rise?+2 should be good enough.
Is that sharp rise from food? Hope he dips back to green for you.
Eta: that blue is still normal range
Sorry Linda but this really tickled me, I don't think I've ever seen any of my 4 cat's exercise strenuously, but perhaps I have extra lazy domestic cats.Exercise could increase rather than decrease BG if it's strenuous enough and/or if there is not enough insulin to deal with the extra blood glucose the body pumps out to provide the muscles with needed energy for the exercise. Regular exercise helps the body to function more efficiently such that it may help to lower BG overall over time.
I’ve seen Nigel get winded before, from running around the house. May not take much for lethargic indoor cats?Sorry Linda but this really tickled me, I don't think I've ever seen any of my 4 cat's exercise strenuously, but perhaps I have extra lazy domestic cats.
I guess it can be true, as it is in humans, but I wonder what categorizes as strenuous in a cat, eg a human going for a brisk 20 minute walk wouldn't be seen as strenuous, I wonder what the kitty equivalent is and where the threshold is for them when it turns into strenuous. I suspect that it will be different for different cats.
