I was able to get some pm readings last night and then some early ones this morning. This morning it looks like I may have caught the point where the insulin kicked in and his BG starts to decrease.

We're off to viisit our new doctor.

I'm not sure that you were able to catch Max's onset. It looks like he may have a bit of a bounce going on due to the greens overnight. You'll need to see the way the rest of the cycle plays out whether that 221 is on the way down or the way up.

I just want to put something out there for your consideration. Max's PMPS was in the reds. By +3, he'd dropped almost 200 points. If it were me, I'd have gotten another test or two in. With that big and that fast of a drop, he may have gone into low green numbers. At the very least, you might want to consider setting an alarm and getting up to test so you can make sure Max's numbers are in a safe zone.

if he drops like that tonight I will get up and check him. I'll check him at +3 (this would be bedtime for me) and if he has dropped like last night, what hour should I do the next check? Also, how long does it take for the stress from the visit to vet to drop?

She thought it would be prudent to treat him for UTI as there is BG in his urine and monitor him for 7 days to see if it effects his BG. Other than that she didn't want to alter anything right now.
