Morning Elise, Jax,

A new day starts with AMPS at 387. Not sure what happened last night, the BG didn't really go down that much at +3. The only difference I did yesterday was to add remedies for his anemia. I stopped that for today, let's see how's everything going. So far, he's been eating and drinking by himself (before we put supplements), walks around, tried to nibble on dog food.

The anemia supplements are what? I’d give B12 and BComplex. If he won’t eat food with it mixed in try my fave, Gerbers 2nd all meat baby food. Ham has been a big hit here. But a jar of each though. If he won’t eat it with that id syringe it. Anything to bring up the HCT not doesn’t involve medication or transfusions is a win in my mind.

He’s still bouncing but might break it today I think. Pink is better than black. Eating on his own is really good.

It's a kit we got from a Canadian pet remedy company. It has a bottle of spray made of: ferrum met, kali carb, natrum mur, calcarea phos, 2 bottles of tablets made of ferrum phosphoricum and natrum muriaticum. I crushed and tasted yesterday, a little bit sweet...was wondering if I should even give him that. But I did found some good reviews on it.

We add B12, B9 and other BComplex, along with potassium powder, binder and probiotic to his food every day. When he doesn't want to eat once the supplements are in, we just syringe feed him, he takes that okay. Do I need to keep giving him Cerenia and Mirtazapine?? Don't think those are necessary at this point, or I should continue until he takes another blood test?

You only need cerenia if he seems nauseous and either is inappetent or vomiting. Mirt is an appetite stimulant so only if not eating.

Hi, Casper's PMPS is 453, other than high BG, he is eating and drinking (a lot) very well. Seems he got his appetite back.

I wonder if the insulin is still good, although many people use the vial for a long time, this one just seems not to do too much as it should. I got this vial on 01/08, other than the trips to the ER/ hospitals, it has been refrigerated and not stored on the fridge door. It never been frozen, it's still clear.
I will try to call the vet and see if I may get the prescription for a pen tomorrow.

It’s not the insulin I think. My vials lasted 5-6 months and I did manage to leave it out over Ishtar a few times. ;) More than once I thought it was the insulin. I think he could go up to .75 if you are up for lots of testing should he have a strong reaction.
