I'm not so sure that Sam is ready. There are still an awful lot of blue pre-shots. Sam's SS looks a lot better with the 0.25u dose. What would you think about fattening up his dose?

Well...I was really excited about starting Sam's OTJ trial this eve, but I know you know so much more than I do Sienne. I hate to come this far and mess it all up. I know every cat is different, but do you think it is possible his little pancreas might just need a bit more time to strengthen so he might finally get OTJ? Since his onset was very likely due to steroids I was really hopeful. Any ideas/comments out there? :-|

I absolutely think Sam is heading in that direction but I might want to see more greens. Let's see what others have to say, though.

hi donna. sienne asked for more eyes on sam's spreadsheet...

i agree with sienne. sam's numbers were better on 0.25 unit. if sam were mine, i would take him back up to 0.25 unit. when approaching OTJ status our goal is a strong remission. as much as we love your company, we don't like to see OTJ kitties returning from the Falls a few weeks down the road. sam is on a mission here. increasing the dose will likely be temporary. sometimes all it takes is a few cycles at a higher dose to pull the numbers down again.

Thank you Sienne & Jill for being so helpful and supportive. Sometimes I guess we just need to work on that patience thing no matter how hard it is!

Thanks for the suggestion Julie about getting advice. It certainly burst my "oh boy we're almost there" button, but it's for the best. I just gotta learn some patience! We'll just keep on keepin on...

i just know some of the people here have been doing this for years and they truly understand it. better to invest another few days in to Sam and have it be successful for the long run!
 
Hmmm..unfortunately, I have no green patience pants but still have the sexy heels that go with the yellow ones. :lol:

I can attest to the statement Jill made about sometimes it just takes a couple cycles to really kick in and ...voila...green!!
