Freckles found a blue this morning (a high blue, none the less, but blue - we will definitely take it!). DH has recently started testing in the morning while I'm at work (this is his 'slow' season until calving starts) as he wants to catch Freckles at some lower numbers too. Her little body is really putting up a fight against the insulin. Makes me wonder how long she was diabetic before I clued in. :facepalm:
 
Busy day at the vets today. I've called twice to check if there is a better day to draw blood (I was aiming for Friday but that would mean it doesn't get shipped until Monday) but vets and assistants haven't got back to me yet. Someone else must need their attention more urgently than we do. I don't mind because when we need time to talk to the vet, he takes it and likely makes someone else wait a bit.
 
Just so you know, the IGF-1 test is only tun once a week at MSU, I think starting Wednesday. So it’s ideal if the blood arrives before then. I think IAA is run more often. If you miss the cutoff, you have to wait another week for answers. Been there, done that.
