Flat yellow all day and all night.

Set the alarm with beeps last night, it did the job and I got his test once I had peeled myself off the ceiling :lol:

I'm thinking that it might have been uneccessary to get up last night though - based on flat yellow day, PMPS of 248 +2 266 and +4 279. Is it okay to take a night off under those circumstances, i.e. when you can see there'll just be more yellow or maybe even a move up to the pink floor? Or do I always need to be vigilant for the unpredictable cat thing. It would be nice to sleep through here and there if his numbers allow it but If not that's okay, Beth has given me some great tips to try and day nap.

Off to move furniture now I will come back to stalk you all in the middle of your night...

oh boy, wish i had an answer for you! vyktor isn't clearing his bounces with any predictability yet. does vyktor self-feed when he feels himself dropping? most cats do, but i know alex has slept soundly a couple of times when i caught her in the 30s.

using last night's numbers as an example, i think i would have felt comfortable getting a good night's sleep after his +4 if i left food out...

I don't know. When I've thought it was safe to sleep, I've woken up in the morning to some surprising numbers.
Cats just try to keep us guessing... My cat was safe, I've just slept through some midnight action before.

LOL with the alarm! I have a feeling you may need to change that up once in a while...you'll probably become desensitized to the "beep" at some point and sleep through that, too!

The middle of the night testing is definitely an "ECID" thing. For us, I know I'm comfortable making a judgement call about testing Trixie once I see her +4...I usually don't have to test her beyond that because she's usually very predictable, but if she has dropped (like the other night), I know I'll have to get up and check on her during the night.

I just read Vyktor's profile...DH and I are vegan, too. Have been for 9 years now (vegetarian for over 20). It is interesting, having 6 little carnivores running around the house....And Meg is adorable!!!

I am thinking that a second alarm clock will need to come into play soon, if only I can find one that meows, I doubt that I would ever sleep through that!

Jill: I don't really know if Vyktor will eat if he drops too low because he hasn't really done it yet, he does always have food available though, except I try to remember to take it away 2 hours before his shots now.

So Vyktor has cleared his bounce :-D should I rush in with an increase tonight to beat the next bounce - and while the beeps are still waking me up? It seems that this dose isn't going to get him to where he needs to be. Tonight will be 11 days since my BCS and we haven't seen any green, his lowest since then is the +10 I just took - 110

I have to shoot in 20 mins so I'm guessing i won't get an answer in time to increase and since I nearly did the wrong thing last time I thought about increasing I'm not game enough to do so without my LL permission slip. I'd still like to know if I should have though. Chances are it will be a moot point tomorrow because he'll be bouncing again so I really need to get to know how to make these decisions with confidence myself.

I am not one of the wise ones, but it looks to me like it would have been safe to increase last night. Vyktor had cleared his bounce, and most importantly was not still dropping at shot time. I know you have been waiting for a good time to increase, hopefully you will get a chance today (tomorrow for you, I suppose).

Vyktor, stay steady today buddy! No bouncing!
