Recap:
AMPS 187
+2 245
+7 317
+10 353
PMPS 331
+3 308
+8.5 281 (slept through alarm for 1/2 hour  - guess I need to add the beeping noise instead of just the music now that I'm a LL zombie, never needed that before!)

Running late for work and it's so hot again (still) that I need to come home early (to let Mil chicken in) so will leave my visiting for later. Let her in for the afternoon yesterday as the poor girl was panting so hard it looked like she was trying to breath through her bottom as well!

Re: 01/27 Vyktor AMPS 272

Welcome to the LL zombie club  The beeping is essential for me! And sometimes I use 2 alarm clocks, one is out in my dining room... I try not to do that when DH is sleeping too though!

Re: 01/27 Vyktor AMPS 272

Looks like a lot of flat yellow for Vyktor! I hope he comes down a bit for you tonight.

I see flat yellow, too. Maybe, you'll see a little action tonight. Finger crossed.
Hey, you can sleep in tomorrow, right? (after AMPS, of course).

No sleeping in for this bean. Shot is at 6am then I have to leave by 6.30 to go and pick up a trailer and get some furniture moved before the heat sets in. We're expecting 108 tomorrow and our low tonight will be 77 :YMSIGH: I'm not good at sleeping once I've seen daylight anyway, although I suspect I'll have to start working on that!

Find a good place to nap.
Turn off your mobile phone and any other potential distractions. If background noise is unavoidable and distracting, or if you suffer from tinnitus, putting on headphones with relaxing music may help.

If you're sleeping during the day and find that bright light inhibits your ability to sleep, wear sunglasses or use an eye mask to simulate darkness.

Have caffeine right before you nap.
This may sound counterintuitive since caffeine is a drug and a stimulant, but it won't kick in immediately (Please see the warnings section at the end of this article). Caffeine has to travel through your gastro-intestinal tract, such that it can take up to 45 minutes to be absorbed. Taking a "caffeine nap" in which 200mg of caffeine are consumed right before a 20-minute nap will not only improve your performance, but it'll also lessen how sleepy you feel once you wake up.

When you're close to finishing your coffee (or your green tea, or your caffeine jello shot, etc.), set an alarm to go off in 15 minutes.
This is only true if you are one of those people who can fall asleep immediately. To know how much time it takes for you to fall asleep, take a look at the clock when you are very tired and notice how long it was since you got into bed. Generally, you should set your alarm for twenty-five minutes.

Get up as soon as the alarm goes off. Sleeping for any longer than 20 minutes will be counterproductive. Sleeping more than 30 minutes can lead to sleep inertia, making you feel sluggish and more tired than ever.

Hi guys .. looks like vyktor is loving these yellows! Now if only he would love the blues and greens as much .. Sorry to hear about your heat wave .. 108 sounds awful .. Don't overdue it and make sure you drink plenty of water! Have a great weekend!

Afternoon Miss LL zombie  ! Just mentioned & saw that your insulin is a month or more old, Yes??
Lantus can last maybe a month, maybe if one is really lucky 40 days, so what I am suggesting is that your insulin may have lost it's potency, so maybe it would be good to try a new vial or pen, which ever you use?
His numbers can be affected by spent insulin--Just a suggestion-OK??
It may help bring those numbers back to blue!!
Hope It cools off for you!! Yikes I hate the heat--Have a good day today--Hugs from us!!
