01/25 Eddie AMPS 439 +3 434 PMPS 459 +3 400 (all red after yesterday's blues???)

Do you think I need to involve the vet??
Because he's bouncing? How is Eddie otherwise? We have a measure we call the 5 P's, peeing, pooing, playing, preening, purring. How does he dose on those? This Whole Cat Report is just as important, if not more, than his numbers.

Didn't you have a vet appointment scheduled for blood work soon?

As for the 5 P's, he doing them all relatively well. I've just never seen a +3 so high. I thought maybe there's something wonky about the insulin or the meter. He has an appointment next week for blood work.

Really, I must sound so reactionary but when it comes to him, I guess I am. I've just never seen him seem to not respond to insulin. It's anomalous.

But thank you for the quick response and the reassurance.

Might have been that high at +3 on the night of 1/19. Did you smell his fur at the injection site? Fur shots were occasionally my issues with high numbers. Often as not though, it was just the cat. At least you can put away the test kit for the rest of the day.

Oh, yes, I see that. Hmm. I did smell his fur as I really try to avoid fur shots and have done one only once. That smell is unmistakeable.
Thanks, again, Wendy.

OK, so PMPS 459 after a red morning, red +3 and red PMPS. I wish I could feel like I was doing everything right. I feel I"m doing all I can but, at times, to no avail. Like last night PMPS +3 and +5 in the blue zone.

We have a vet appointment next Tuesday. I guess maybe I'm banking so much on the acro/postSRT card that I'm trying to will him into getting OTJ.

The thing about SRT action, is that sometimes it slows down for a while. SRT neuters the tumour cells, not kills them. You have to wait for them to live out their life cycle and it's not usually at a steady pace.

So, it's like breaks in the DNA? No replication?
In other words, not, not, not straightforward but zig-zag.

I'm so sorry he seems to be giving trouble. I would be a wreck personally. You are doing everything you can. I know you think you're doing something wrong and you're not! :bighug::bighug:
