Got her stitches out this morning, doc says it's looking good. She pulled the bandage off Wednesday night, got a little bit of a bikini wax for her trouble. Putting the lampshade on her was ... not popular. And it allowed Captain Darling too much liberty about putting his paws on her and licking her where she couldn't get to him... and also sticking his face in her lampshade and licking her face!

Anyway, the vet told her not to come back for anything until her next immunization.

BG continues to be a little slippery, but overall not bad. Think we are due for a new cartridge soon.

The whole cat spends a fair amount of time upside down on one chair or another, but also gets her share of scampering in. I think she's just biding her time until the sun starts coming in the windows again.
 
Happy she got her stitches out. The lampshade escapade just made me laugh :-D Especially the thought of Captain Darling sticking his head in there to lick her face.

That must make for better night-time reading....very thoughtful of her, even after her ordeal.

Glad Carmelita is on the mend. I had to laugh at the comment on Capt Darling sticking his face in the shade and getting a good lick in. :-D

Have a great weekend. My cats are all waiting for that warm weather also. It gets kind of crazy around here at times. Remember I have my own Capt Darling.

It is good to hear that Carmelita is on the mend. I am sure she would like to permanently put that lamp shade over Capt. Darling' head.

So when are you going to become a regular again.....hmm? :thumbup
 
OMG Poor Miss Carm!! But I had to laugh with that Capt Darling--Hey, he's just trying to clean his lady love up!!
Hope sweet girl heals up soon--She must be mad with that lampshade-- cat(2)_steam cat(2)_steam -

So glad to hear that she is doing better - love the picture I get from CD popping his head in the lampshade for a kiss - so funny :) I am sure she was just thrilled - lol
 
Oh no not a lampshade! I remember the first time I saw one on a dog, I almost died laughing. I really hate those things, they look so stupid and demeaning. Poop Princess Carmelita :sad: Glad she is on the mend and will soon be able to put Capt. D back in his place! So I have to ask....when is spring going to come? Just when the forcast shows warmer temps (I mean above 0) for the next day, they go and change it...always chasing that possibility!
 
such indignity the princess has to suffer. :shock: I'm glad the lampshade is gone and the chairs are comfy, can't do anything about the sun though.

Miriam - halfway there, we do check in every day now. Trying to post more. Getting there.

Monique - I have a feeling spring's going to be a little skittish this year. Almost all the snow we've had so far was NOT in the forecast. Everyone loves weather surprises...
