Hello! Just checking in and trying to stay updated. We're just hanging out and staying the course on our dose, Elsie seems to be staying mostly in the green between AMPS & PMPS. Just waiting for those numbers to finally get around to dropping with some more regularity. Otherwise she seems to be doing pretty well. :cat:
Hi Kat, nice to see you. Elsie looks great! Congratulations. Hope you are both doing well :cat::cat:

I was surprised about the yellow on the 15th, until I read about the possible kibble raid. Any chance of getting rid of kibble in the house?

Unfortunately not. It's prescription food for our other senior cat with CKD (Alex). We are trying to encourage him to eat more wet food, and have tried just about every food on the list that would be CKD and FD friendly, but he's too much of a picky eater, and turns his nose up at just about all of it. He does have some Rx wet food as well, and sometimes he eats it (but sometimes he doesn't), however that is not low carb either.

We do feed him some of the Fancy Feast, even though it's higher in phosphorus. The kibble is the only thing he'll reliably eat, and he has to be fed something, so we keep it around. Even then, there's only one flavor of the crunchies he actually likes. We usually do a pretty good job of keeping them separated for meal times, but unfortunately it does occasionally happen that Elsie manages to sneak out and get into Alex's food.

They are completely opposite, appetite-wise. Alex is a grazer and doesn't eat much at a time, and he's very finnicky about his meals. His preferences change from day to day and we are always encouraging him to eat more, as he could stand to put on some weight. Elsie, on the other hand, is a big chonky food bully and will eat anything & everything you put in front of her. Each meal is like the first one she's had in a year, she scarfs it down so fast we had to get her a lick mat to slow her down. She'll hover around the food bowl while Alex is eating and even push him out of the way to steal his food, if we let her.

They aren't chipped & won't wear collars, so the individualized electronic feeders won't work for us, unfortunately. It would save a lot of headaches. We just need to be super diligent about feeding them separately, and not leaving out the kibbles accidentally or overnight.
