Hello Guys,

I found out something, dont know if im right though. You know Shanga doesnt let me to sleep at the night time... running on my head, licking my palm, hitting his paw to my head, miawing if i dont mind... lol...
I put him another room and close the door sometime and he is not happy with that ofcourse, and he just miiaaauws very loudly until morning and he gets higher BG
in the morning. So stress can cause that higher numbers??? Because if he sleeps with me and plays with me like im his toy until morning then he gets lower BG. lol

Hi Hande,
It might be good for Shanga, but it's not so great for you to be sleep-deprived!!! In any event, an AMPS of 120 is perfectly fine. It is common for AMPS to be the last number to come down. It's called "dawn phenomenon". (Perhaps it does have something to do with Shanga's sleep habits--or his non-sleep habits!!!

It's great to see that he is feeling well again. Those bad teeth were the culprits.

Ive just started to research about "dawn phenomenon".
Shanga has a habit since he was a baby. Actually It started suddenly.
Here is a short story.
When he was 3 months old, i needed to go to another city for 2 days and so I left him to my friend .
2 Days later I took him back and he started to do something... He puts his head in my palm and licks and sucks there...and starts purrring and fall asleep there.
Sometimes it gets worse. He just licks my palm for hours at the night time and so no sleep for me and it can last weeks... Then it goes normal, he licks just for 20 min or a bit more every morning and night...

I took him to shrink and he said Shanga thought I left him forever and had this habit. He feels safe this way ...
He has compulsive disorder.
So we r in that worse days at the moment. I hope it will stop soon ... :)

Just like Tıfıl, Handecim we had the same story, I gave tıfıl to someone else for 9 months (mom didn't want two cats in the house) then that someone gave her back to me and tıfıl started to suck my palm...
We have crazy cats, we must confess this!!!!

Poor Shanga! He's such a little baby. That story is so cute. Though...it must drive you crazy. I have 2 meezers and once they start waking me up I put them outside my room and close the door. Now yowling because I've done this since day one and both are used to it.

When I put Shanga to another room, he never stops yowling... He can miaaauw for hours... :)
That didnt change in years... So I got used to it lol...
But I am glad you found a way to sleep :)

Stu used to pound on our bedroom door at night. If we left it open, he would pound for it to be closed, and when we closed it, he would pound for it to be opened! We did get used to it!!
