Good morning!
AMPS 148 shooting 2.5F

Boomer left about 2/3 of one serving of food last night. No middle-of-the-night calls from him (either real or in my dreams lol)

Yesterday I went out with a new friend (and fellow photographer) and I was thrilled to find our Bald Eagles both perched on the same tree! We actually saw this twice but in the image I posted yesterday they were much closer together and it was a much cleaner shot. I only wish the light and sky had been better. Waiting to see what this morning brings, I may go back. Otherwise, there are a couple of other locations I want to check out today....one is just downstream from where I saw the eagles and the other is a park where a pair of Horned Owls has been nesting for the last few years....last time I visited I couldn't find them but perhaps today will be successful.

So once again since I was headed out I suggested to DH that he give Boomer a tsp of food at +2. Looks like we stopped Boomer from coming into green :( I just hate going out before +3 not knowing what Boomer might decide to do.

Could you leave food in the feeder for +3 instead?
Yes that's when he usually gets fed but I didn't want to take a chance on a low cycle because DH has never handled a low cycle before. So I've had him give a wee bit of food at +2. Maybe tomorrow I'll have to stay at home and see what Boomer can/will do without the food interference at +2.

I think the "fat" is getting a bit skinny again. Darn syringes make it so hard to fine-tune. I'll nudge it up a tad tomorrow to a true 2.5F

Hope he gives you a nice green surf tomorrow, whether you go out or not.

It's hard when you are the only one doing the testing. My DH doesn't test, but my DD does, and she is finally with me again. I'm looking forward to the freedom that will give me, as soon as I have a car again (hopefully, this week). There's always something.

Oh my DH will test. But he's never handled low numbers so to keep Boomer safe I do an early test before I leave then I have DH feed a bit at +2.

That's a real blessing Judy! Trust me, I know!

You did the right thing. I hate when it affects their numbers, especially when it's so clear they were headed to green, but better safe than sorry. So many times in the past few weeks that I found myself playing it safe. Not much you can do.

Hope he gives you a nice green surf soon!
