My cat is a DKA survivor too, and even though she is now OTJ I still fear that more than almost anything. I never ever want to go there again.
Gentle looks so much like one of my Mom's cats, if his personality is at all similar then you are very lucky to have him. I keep trying to steal her kitty but she catches me. :roll:
