Wow I don't like yellows, she drove me nuts all night long, sitting on me, pawing me, bringing me stuffies then proceeding to eat them beside my head. Deep down I think she was trying to sent the message, "If you don't feed me this is what I'm going to do to you"
There are a couple feet missing off of her mouse, which I'm sure she ingested. If I have time later today I'll post pictures.

AMPS=182
+2=99 fed TBSP
+3=50 fed again
+4=50 fed again
+6=126
+9=126
PMPS+207
+1=216 noticed 2 hours later syringe had like a drop left in it.
+4=92 fed her some wet food

Jenny:

When you see a drop by +2, you need to give a bit of food to slow things down. I'm hoping you thought to test at +3.5. I'd give Emmy some HC because I'm pretty sure her next test will be below 50.

Here are the instructions for managing low numbers. I may be on and off the Board since I've got to get to work.

Hi guys .. awww emmy, you just wanted to share your stuffies with your momma didn't you? Hoping the next spot check is soon and that she is just surfing for you! have a great day!

Wow I'm only giving her .25 of a unit is that normal to have a diabetic cat on that little of insulin.

Just wondering does it matter how much insulin you give. Is less better than more. With that little of a dose would it be better to mix in some dry to make the dose more so it's easier to measure? Or is your best chance at otj when you shoot as little insulin as possible?

She is diving quite hard on .25 and I fed her some wet and some 40% carb dry.
Any suggestions on tomorrows dose, I'm kinda scared to shoot her lower than 182, if she drops that fast like a rock.

Hi there!

I wouldn't mix in any dry, ever. If the .25u is too high (which it looks like it might be, but I'll let someone else more knowledgeable determine that), then you need to lower it further. What you want to do is have the lowest dose possible that is still safe to shoot twice daily. I know there are some cats on here with doses as low as .05u where they literally measure by drops.

Thank you I bookmarked that.

sorry to disappoint I'll have to post pics tommorrow, I'm heading back to the hospital, I'm gonna be an aunty! :-D

Congratulations!! I hope the delivery goes/went well! Enjoy all the snuggles and baby milk breath. And - the best part of being an auntie - giving the baby back to mom and dad and crawling into your own bed to sleep the night through.

Congrats Aunty Jenny!
when you get back, just curious to know what and how much you fed Emmy at +3 and +4.
Carl

of coarse there are complications, they are shipping out my sister-in-law via chopper for a ride to the next biggest center as a precaution. We do live in the wild up here, they can't do c-sections here, hope everything goes well. Here's to hoping.
