Dear all,
Chanel is presently hissing at us

. The vet thing is probably sending her BG out of whack so no BG testing until her usual PM shot time. The visit went well, they were not happy with the Levemir choice, but agreed that if it gives better results in terms of quality of life, then it should deserve a try. They were mostly worried about hypoglycemic episodes. Also the internal medicine (IM) MD thought I was testing too aggressively, but I am a toddler in testing compared to rest of you and of course that is because of my schedule.
The ultrasound thing did not show anything unusual and we were very lucky to have just the same IM MD who did the previous ultrasound for today's visit. We did a GI and metabolic panel that were never been done before. Well, some of the metabolic has been done, but this one is a complete one.
The ears are so clean that the doctor could see her eardrums (she considers that it might be some allergic factor due to weather that makes Chanel shaking her head and scratching that particular ear), the teeth have slight gingivitis, but she said to continue with the daily routine for her teeth and she should be all good.
The metabolic panel results will be available tomorrow at the earliest, the GI maybe early next week since the blood work is done in Texas.
She is 15.6 LBS (7.1 kg). That means she needs some activity and probably soon we will need to get her a pet treadmill because she simply does not want to play.
Anyway, as I said, she was hissing at us when we got home, not at the vet so she will not spoil everybody's impression about how cute and nicely behaved she is. At home she showed her teeth at us, but she was willing very much to CLEAN an entire can of Fancy Feast (all if it, 57 g) in one take.
I guess it might be some emotional eating involved. Now, she is in the closet, probably sleeping or making revenge plans or even better making revenge plans in her sleep

Thank you all for the petty vines and wishes. It really helped.
