There's just no guarantee with that little guy, and it looks like he's breaking another bounce right as he's going to get his shot (of course a lot can happen between now and then). You might try catching a +11 and compare that to the PMPS. That will show you if he's moving downward. If he is, once he gets the insulin on board, those two elements (breaking a bounce + insulin) can create more momentum and lower numbers. If he is going down, perhaps you might start him out with MC mixed into his LC to get a little bump as he onsets, and keep giving him some carbs every 30 mins or so as he progresses (carb value depending on the numbers). The flatter you can keep him, the better.Day at school went great.
Had a surprise exam but I was prepared for it
I am afraid Pip will have another very low cycle this evening and I really need to rest.
Please Pip be a good boy![]()
Ok I will see in an hour but he's at 157 at +11There's just no guarantee with that little guy, and it looks like he's breaking another bounce right as he's going to get his shot (of course a lot can happen between now and then). he likes to keep me on my toes lolI like that not-too-severe drop from the PMPS. Work it nicely for mama, Pip! Let's see what +2 shows.
He is a bit unpredictable, that guy.
Nice! He's remaining fairly flat, which is uncustomarily Pip-ish. I would check at least once more, since +2 is the onset. BTW, are you feeding him any extra carb or just his regular LC?so we're at 140 at +2
Should I check his +3? +4?
I would totally go to sleep in an hour if I could but I wont if I shouldnt![]()
I fed him dm and fancy feast beef paté in the AM (left some for the day), and 2 cans of fancy feast this evening, 1 chicken and liver, 1 salmon and shrimp, both patéNice! He eats two cans of FF at a time?I fed him dm and fancy feast beef paté in the AM (left some for the day), and 2 cans of fancy feast this evening, 1 chick and liver, 1 salmon and shrimp, both paté
one hour apart... and some gets stolen by the other cats.He eats two cans of FF at a time?![]()
Jude's big too (17.9 lbs)! He and Hazel split two cans twice a day. I've been thinking of cutting them both back a bit. I need to look at the calorie requirements first.one hour apart... and some gets stolen by the other cats.
He is a big boy, he needs 3 big cans of DM a day or 1 DM 3 fancy feast
Wow they weigh the exact same!Jude's big too (17.9 lbs)! He and Hazel split two cans twice a day. I've been thinking of cutting them both back a bit. I need to look at the calorie requirements first.
128 at +3, he hasnt eaten since +1... what do you think? Can I go to sleep or should I wait 1 more hour?Nice! He's remaining fairly flat, which is uncustomarily Pip-ish. I would check at least once more, since +2 is the onset. BTW, are you feeding him any extra carb or just his regular LC?
My gut says it's okWhat do you think??
