I was away for 2 weeks and my parents were managing things, and she started hiding from her shots occasionally. All missed shots are noted on the chart. Usually they would get a blood test first and then she would hide, but there is one time when she hid before the test so there is no number or shot.

Do I now wait until it is a continuous week in the greens or are her numbers starting to look good enough for an OTJ trial?

I’d stick with a drop tomorrow. She looks ready to me for a trial but I’ll see what a few others think.

Are you giving a +9 snack each cycle? Can you get some nadir tests both cycles? For a strong remission you want most nadirs between 50-80. Give the drop dose a little more time.

Yes, she gets a +9 snack every day except when she won't eat it (those times are noted on my chart, she usually does eat her snack).

I was away for the holidays but will make efforts to get back on track with getting a nadir test both cycles.

I am not in a hurry as I said before, I just wondered if there were, on the flip side, any negative effects of staying on the insulin too long, of missing the time when you're supposed to go off the insulin?

Making a note of that 50-80 desired range for nadirs! Some of hers are a little higher than that.

No negatives if on insulin a little longer but rather the opposite. It will usually mean a stronger remission. We don’t know the night nadir with only a pmps test done. Try and get a before bed test. Adrop under 50 would be the last reduction as well.

Thanks, got it!
