Here is the link to your last post here: 7/28 Alexandra and Mikes AMPS 64, +4 93,+8 83. PMPS 64 +3 77+5 79 for continuity.

For newly diagnosed diabetics, (which Mikes is until September 1st), you reduce by 0.25 units if they go under 50. Unless they have shown they are cats that do not handle reductions well. Do you think he is one of those cats that don't hold reductions well? If so, you would wait for one more number under 50 before reducing as he's already seen 2 times under 50.

Thank you for the response. It's a hot summer ☀️ and my baby doesn't eat well. You're opinion is very helpful for me.

Nice to see you. Mikes has been up and down around this dose so we had talked before about not reducing him until he’s dropped between 40-50 on three separate days or below 40 once.

However, I don’t want you to prop his numbers up with high carb food or honey/syrup. If you are giving that a lot, you should try to reduce his dose to 0.75u at his next shot.

Thank you very much. I gave him once dry food and now he rather die than eat the wet food. I'll do the reduction today. Marje 🫡🫡🫡❤️❤️❤️❤️

That can be a problem with dry food. I would not even give it for a treat! His spreadsheet looks like he’s getting dry food on a regular basis.
No he is not taking dry food. He eats fancy feast. The name of this brand here in Greece is gourmet gold tartar from Purina or Pro plansterilizedby Purina. It depends on his appetite. In the spreadsheet I'm writing only when he gets extra food. Every day he eats his usually pate or tartar food. Almost two cans 85gr each. No treats or anything else. His weight is ten pounds more or less. Last summer when started the diabetic journey he was only 7 pounds. Now he looks better than ever!! Thank you for the interest!! Sorry for my English.

Sorry. I saw this on the spreadsheet and I thought dry food was a regular thing for him, but I suppose that was late July and earlier in August. So now he’s not getting any more. He should get a low carb treat when you test his ear though. You are doing very well. It’s wonderful to hear how he has gained weight and looks so healthy! ❤️ That’s what it’s all about. His BG numbers are nice and I think he will do very well on the .75 unit dose too.

Don't tell me you are sorry!! You are very thoughtful for my baby. He is coming all alone for the test. He is asking for it. Also he awakes me for the injection. He is a very clever boy. I have no time to write in the spreadsheet about his daily food because he is a free feeding guy. No he isn't eating dry food now. He is so difficult with his food. When he is at 65- 60 he is calling me for food. Not the one on his plate. He wants a different kind of food. When he was low and didn't eat anything else or he didn't respond to honey, I gave him dry food just to be sure that he won't be hypo. Thank you again for your interest and your support. 💗💗💗
