Very good appetite yesterday with no anti-nausea meds. Eating less today but not acting nauseated. He might just be a little stuffed after last night... keeping an eye on it.

Well, we did it. We went to a different vet yesterday evening. She's interested in internal medicine and was excited we had a spreadsheet. She wants to help us taper Kobe off the Prednisolone and switch to Budesonide. She's trying to get the oil based liquid for us so it's easy to taper like you all said. She's writing a script for Ondansetron as needed and didn't make me feel like a crazy person for asking. And we're getting B12 injections. It's like Christmas morning over here. If I am dreaming, please don't wake me up! It makes all the difference to have a doctor willing to listen and work with you.

We're sticking with the 2.5 mg of Prednisolone for a little while, letting it work on the inflammation, and then we'll try tapering down again.

We're also getting pretty BG numbers today. Lots to be grateful for today! Thanks for your support and healing vines, everyone. :bighug: :bighug: :bighug:
 
Carmelo on the left. Kobe on the right with the white patch on his chest. Dean got him the quilted leaf that he is sitting on and he loves it so much. It's pretty sweet. They were looking content and relaxed until I tried to take this picture with the flash on... 😹

When you all tapered off Prednisolone did you use an every other day schedule? Like 2.5 mg every other day for 7 doses? (14 days)

OR did you gradually taper down a daily dose? Using a schedule something like this:

The new vet hooked us up with liquid Prednisolone for the taper. I did a little math... and we have 17.5 mg total Prednisolone for a two-week taper.

Any thoughts on which would be better? Thanks!
