Hey Wendy.
Thank you for your input and guidance.
Sorry in advance for any misundertanding or discombobulation but I am at my brightest in the early morning, and tired and more "simple" in the evening after giving it my all at work.
Sorry I wasn't up yet when you asked your questions.
I know, I always have to figure it out for myself so early in the morning.
Way back when (you may not remember him) but it was usually Greg & Carmelita and me up early on the board. Him (from The Netherlands) at 4:00am my time and me at 5:00am EST.
With SLGS, you don't shoot if under 90
With possible cabergoline action starting, instead of using 3/4 of the dose for a BCS, I'd go to a 1/2 dose, especially with that largish depot. If you had skipped, that would have been OK too.
I thought I switched to SLGS because I set his reduction number to 90.
I did not want to set his reduction number to >50 for a cat on such a large dose. At the time he was not on Cabergoline, and I saw no reason to hope for remission.
I do not have experience with SLGS, but tried to read up on it this morning.
I had some intuition, and was wondering what to do if he was under 100 when I woke up, and he was.
Note for anyone not Dyana, this is special suggestions for her and Jackson since he has acromegaly and getting cabergoline which can make rather sudden needs for less insulin.
Should I add "Custom dosing - Do not follow" to his spreadsheet and my signature?
Another thing you can do is to reduce by a full unit at this size of dose. For people over 10 units, changes are typically 1.0 units at a time, unless tweaking a dose when increasing.
I just didn't want to loose the momentum...
Time for a test and shot.
Thank you SO MUCH <3
