6/20 Ember AMPS 377 L, +4 215, +6 235 One year foster-versary!

Happy 1 year foster-versary to Ember! One year ago today I rescued Ember and her three little kittens from the storm drain where she had carried them after the little family was dumped in a mall parking lot. They had the worst ringworm I’d ever seen but they recovered beautifully (after daily treatment, bathing, and SO MUCH CLEANING) and her kittens were all adopted into their forever homes. Ember was diagnosed with diabetes just a month after recovering from ringworm, so she’s officially my highest-maintenance foster ever.
I always tell her she’s lucky she’s cute!

Look at her and her BEAUTIFUL babies!!! It was fate that she came to you, since you are such a patient and loving caregiver to her. I have five cats, and my three "kittens" (not really kittens any more since they're THREE, but I still call them that) that were brought to me by their feral mama also had terrible ringworm. My brother came over and helped me bathe them, and we tried our best to remain ringworm-free but we both got pretty bad cases of it, and It. Was. Awful! Ugh. But we got over it. The things we do, right?

My parents still have 3 of 4 kittens we trapped in their yard 10 years ago and we still call them “the kittens.” Your kittens will always be your kittens.
I pretty much LIVED in PPE (disposable gowns, gloves, shoe covers) all last summer. I was so terrified I would pass the ringworm on to my kitties, especially my three seniors.

Ember is so beautiful and her kitties were adorable. I hope they found wonderful families.
