The surgery went well but Penelope did not recover well and was found unresponsive 😢 They were doing CPR when I got the call. I told them to stop. It's not possible to resuscitate a rat. I'll pick up Penelope later tonight 😢

Leroy made a mess with the pee pads :blackeye: Fluids took awhile because I could not figure out why the fluids weren't dripping. I had my knee on top of the tubing:facepalm::facepalm: I'm using the longer tubing because Leroy was originally wandering too far away from the bag. I'm going back to thr shorter ones.
 
I’m so so sorry for your loss. You’ve done such an amazing job taking care of Penelope, and she was so loved.

Rest peacefully Penelope - and I hope you’ll be greeted and welcomed by all of your friends from FDMB at the rainbow bridge. 🌈
 
So sorry about Penelope. You do so much for all your four legged babies. Such a wonderful caregiver.

I’m sorry you had to say goodbye to Penelope 🌈. Sending lots of extra special all around vines for Leroy. Just a thought about the squids, I gave Maverick via syringe to winged infusion set, which I actually found easier to give on my own than when I did the fluids direct from the bag way back when. You’d have to have a few syringes if you are giving 100ml SID.
