? - Today is curve day Input please?

Today is our second curve week for increase on SLGS protocol, and I got a super high number on +8 so I tested again, and got an "expected" number. I couldn't test again for a "tiebreaker" because he was extremely agitated, and confused about the change of routine (already a bad day due to curve tests). And he had to pee (negative ketones). He has been so so good about ear pokes, he purrs while I warm up his ear and I talk him through it.

Does anybody know why I would get that ONE out of the graph number, that essentially "corrected" itself immediately? I feel like I can't trust the meter or anything anymore..please help calm my nerves about this reading and the whole process. I'm already frustrated this week because the pharmacy sent me the wrong syringes even after a 15 minute phone discussion and then claimed to "not really understand what the problem is" when I called them back.

Some meters will give wonky numbers if they get too much or too little blood on the test strip. Good job on retesting. In this case, you next test will tell you which one was out. Good to hear his ketone levels are negative.

The curve is also telling you he needs an increase to 1.5 units. Good luck with the new dose.

Here is the link to your previous post, which we include for continuity: Today is curve day Input please?

Hi, thank you for such a quick reply! That makes sense, I do think he kind of twitched a bit on that first test and I was almost expecting an error for not enough blood! So that could have been exactly it. I did know for sure we would be going up to 1.5 tomorrow, but I was still doing the curve to follow protocol exactly. And you probably started reading before I edited my previous post in (I had to cut and paste, and I was going back and forth on the spreadsheet for my title so too much going on!!) but I did get it in there finally!

Thank you again for helping me out!
