It's great to be back on .com!

I am including the previous ProZinc link (from .org) to have all in one place on this site. [Previous ProZinc thread on .org: Dose? - Low PMPS (Post SRT)]

But the most recent threads regarding Buster are on the Acro forum. I have also started a thread on the Acro forum here on .com.

Where is the best place to get dosing advice for him, Acro or ProZinc?

I think if you are looking for help on dosing, the Prozinc forum is best. But if you are looking for other help on acro symptoms, or SRT, then the acro forum is best. The Prozinc forum is busier.

I see he hit 58 today. But that was a Libre number with no AT comparison, right?
Yes. I was so pleased to finally see a response. I was getting worried. But, of course, in his typical Buster way, he's up high again...

Lately, based on all the data we have to date, we've only been doing AT tests when he is 50 or below on the Libre or stays in lower numbers for a longer period. In this case, he went back up quickly.

Also, an ear prick with Buster is a 2-man job & his dad isn't always available. In those cases, we might miss some testing opportunities but I give him a snack, just in case.

Bless all those folks who can get an ear prick solo. They're rock stars!

Hi. Could you please take a look at Buster's SS?
How long do you think we should stay with this dose?
Thanks for your help.
He may be still in a bounce. I am glad you stuck with the same dose tonight. Maybe if he’s still high tomorrow you can increase. I can say that because you have 24/7 data on him and will be with him. His bouncing is so frustrating!!

Hi. Hope you are well & your kitties are doing better. How is Grace doing since the radiation? Did Richard have I-131? Has the Baytril been working for Marcus?
Well, been trying to work through Buster's high numbers for weeks. We were at 7.5 for a while. Started 7.5f a few days ago in the hope it would provide a jumpstart. Not so much...

He is almost at 60 days with the Zobaline. When he is in lower numbers, his legs are so much better. But the higher numbers take him right back to weaker.

I know we've had blues and some greens but he's just so high most of the time. I've been suspicious that there is underlying constipation problems & have given him meds but he's pooping 2x/day without problems so not sure if it's that. Or is it his nasty tumor rearing it's head?

Should we be considering an increase to 8? Please let me know your thoughts.

He got to 69 on this dose recently. How much lower do you want him to go?

Is that 7.5f more like 7.75, or is it part way in between 7.5 and 7.75? At Buster's size of dose, just a fattening of the dose doesn't do much for him.

When was Buster's last blood work? When I had SRT done, it was suggested I get the thyroid numbers tested every 3 months for the first year. A small percent of SRT kitties get hypoT from the treatment.

How is Buster acting overall? Grooming OK, coat look good? Purring, playing?

You are correct. He did go low. I'm not trying to be greedy but his lows have been shorter and his highs have been so much higher these days.

To answer your question, it's more like between 7.5 and 7.75. I know it doesn't seem like much but we got a bit of a response with it. Could have been a coincidence (and/or wishful thinking).

Well, the issue is moot right now. The Libre crapped out early (how shocking) so we don't have enough data to comfortably make any changes. New Libre on Monday so it will be like this for a few days.

Bloodwork was in June so we will be looking at another round some time this month. He is also due for a recheck with the cardiologist (echo).

He seems to be feeling okay. He's still plagued with the neuropathy but he seems to work around it the best he can. Still grooming OK. Coat still good. Legs keep him from doing much playing but he was never much for that to begin with...

Glad to hear Buster is otherwise OK. Neko would lie down and play with her catnip stuffed toys, didn't need to move around a lot to play. She had severe arthritis and did not have neuropathy.

Bummer about the Libre failure - always the weekend! With the differences you have measured from the Libre vs. the AT, it's possible some of the reductions taken from lower numbers on the Libre weren't all that low on the AT.

This is good. At least he does get some relief. How has he been yesterday and today? I know it must really upset and frustrate you that you are still dealing with his high numbers in between the better numbers.

He's doing okay. It was nice to see yellow & blue but now we're back to pink. Though he could be bouncing from lower numbers we don't know about (no Libre).

And yes, you're right, it does upset me b/c I see how much better he feels when he's lower. But I think I've come a long way with the panicking. We have so much data now that we can correlate with his behavior that I am able to notice changes right away. I feel like I can tell roughly where is with bg from how he eats, pees, poops, acts, etc. Does that sound crazy?

His behavior has been pretty steady so hoping all will be well til tomorrow's appt for new Libre. I'll keep you posted!
