5/28 Pumpkin AMPS 142 +2 195

Here are the dosing instructions I’m going to leave for the next two days (I’m back Tuesday afternoon):

Pre-shot:
- If her preshot number is below 70, don’t shoot.

Nadirs:
- If she drops below 100, reduce the next dose to 22. Hood it at 22 even if she drops into the 70-100 range again.
- If she drops below 70, reduce the next dose to 21. Hold it at 21 even if she drops into the 70-100 range again
- If she drops below 50, reduce the next dose by 2. Keep reducing after every cycle where she drops below 50.

I know this is more conservative than normal for TR, but I’m worried about acrocats having big swings, and Pumpkin being on her fastest ever downward trajectory. We can see if we want to push it a little more once I’m back to help out.

No increases until I’m back.

What a gorgeous cycle last night! I see 117 on the SS, not 111, but close enough. How did Pumpkin like those numbers?

Regarding your instructions while away - keep in mind that the 23 unit depot is now full as of this morning's shot. Any action you take in subsequent cycles will be heavily influenced by the depot. Meaning, even after a reduction the following cycle could play out as if you hadn't reduced. The larger depot can influence 4-6 cycles after a reduction, longer with higher doses.

If she drops below 50, reduce the next dose by 2. Keep reducing after every cycle where she drops below 50.
A safer approach, just done with larger doses, is to reduce the dose in half for one cycle only, then continue on with the newly reduced dose, ie. 21 units. The one time reduction, which we call a BCS or big chicken shot, can help drain that depot.

Have a great time away!

The spreadsheet was right, 117. She’s been more cuddly, and she groomed her face after dinner last night for the first time I remember seeing in quite a while. She’s still very tired.

Makes sense, thanks!

It takes some time for her body to get used to the "new normal" of almost normal blood sugar. She's been on a "sugar rush" for a while. A lot of gets get tired or lethargic when first getting into better BG numbers. Over time her body will get used to better numbers and will feel better then.

Yay pumpkin!! I told you once they start they just keep coming!! And seeing that improvement on your kitties personality seeing them come back is the best moment!!
