11/28 Sunny 223

Hi there. How has Sunny been doing? No more scary episodes? I guess Sunny does need an increase? He doesn’t seem to be holding the reductions well. I hope he feels well and happy though.

He's doing great actually! No more weird episodes thank goodness. I'm not really sure what happened that day. Maybe it wasn't a neurological event after all. Maybe he just slipped off the counter and then freaked out? I dunno.

We'll see what he does tonight. We just had a great PMPS number of 134 so maybe he'll go green tonight. Fingers crossed! I just kept him at his 1.25u dose for tonight.

I was going to mention that with TR you hold doses with green nadirs for ten cycles. I lost count how long he’s been on this dose since seeing green. How many? My phone is having problems with the ss.

maybe he will see green again tonight!

I've always been confused on that point! He hasn't seen green for 3 cycles. I also saw in the TR instructions to increase the dose as soon as you see the numbers climbing again. It's confusing. Maybe I should hold out longer....

You're right! I see this in the TR guidelines "
Increasing the dose:
  • Hold the dose for 3 - 5 days (6 - 10 consecutive cycles) if nadirs are less than 200 before increasing the dose by 0.25 unit
    • when your cat starts to see nadirs under 100, hold the dose for at least 10 cycles before increasing.
Don't know why that was so confusing to me before. I'm confusing these guidelines with failed reduction guidelines. :banghead:

Anyways....I will hold Sunny's dose now for another 7 cycles and see how we do.

When did you first see the green on this dose? How many cycles ago? Count 10 cycles from the cycle in which you first saw green on this dose - and count to ten cycles (with that first green counting as the first of the ten cycles.)
