George continues to keep himself above the 50 mark. As soon as he dropped into the 50s today he ate his regular food ravenously to steady and raise his own BG…this has been his practice lately as soon as he gets into the 50s/60s. At this rate, I’m not sure if he’ll ever drop below 50 and earn himself a reduction . Shooting the lower numbers has definitely immensely helped his numbers though.

Such a big change over the past week I love it!

His eating is good though because we want his preshots down a more, and more consistent. Reducing too soon may lose some of the momentum you have, so I hope he keeps himself surfing.

Thanks to you for guiding us through it since my (first) panic/stalling post last week! I only wish I hadn’t been so scared to to start doing this sooner. I didn’t really understand how the insulin would work though. I thought if 3U could take him down from the blacks to the yellows then it would certainly be too much for him in the low yellows/blues. From what I see I think a lot of newer people probably have the same misconception. Thanks to this group I’m definitely learning a ton now as I go though!

No problem! It's a learning curve for sure. I think the key thing to remember is it's a hormone, so not a linear thing. It won't always do the same thing every time,in high vs low numbers. And just lowering your shooting number slowly, even though sometimes it's a leap of faith backed by a lot of test strips and honey lol
