Radar's willingness to eat has only improved a little. I have successfully gotten him to eat rehydrated Pure bites and some baby food and he will only eat from my hand or a spoon. He is in some pain from his tooth which I'm sure is playing a part in his reluctance to eat.

I know that he hasn't actually earned a dose reduction but with his current reluctance to eat reliably I just can't wrap my brain around giving him the full dose. If I can successfully encourage him back to eating reliably, then I'll feel more comfortable taking the dose back up. His safety must be my primary concern. It's only for a short time until we can get his tooth taken care of so it seems to be the best thing for all of us right now.

Hope your kitty's appy continues to improve and that er won't be necessary.

Glad he's liking the pure bites freeze dried treats.
I often crumble freeze dried treats (whether it's purebites, bravo or the vital essential raw chicken or turkey hearts and giblets) and sprinkle some on food or mix it in especially in assist-feed slurries. Unfortunately now the tribe expects those add-ins/add-on's with each meal and give me the business until I hop to it!

Glad eating has improved a bit. Hoping you (and Radar) make it to Wednesday. I don't blame you for reducing until you get the tooth issue resolved. :bighug:

I have tried to find these locally but haven't had any luck but if you can find them Radar may eat it.

Thank you thank you thank you! I didn't know about these. I called my awesome family owned pet food store and they have it!! I'm going right now to get some. Paws and toes crossed that he likes it and will eat it.

Please let me know! I wanted to use them to try and get potassium into Gizmo but didn't want to buy a whole box!

ETA-they are low carb too!

The new mousse packets from Tiki Cat have a very thick consistency. The one I have is just plain chicken and the verdict from the kitty is...... YUMMY :cat::cat::cat: He's eating it!! In fact I think he might eat the whole pouch... I'm just so relieved that I can get some calories into him.

If your kitty likes a pate consistency, this could be a good choice. Radar is definitely a pate guy so that's part of its appeal.
Thank you again from the bottom of my worried kitty momma heart. I think that we may make it until Wednesday after all. :joyful:

How wonderful!! I have looked everywhere for them here. I may have to just breakdown and buy a box but it is $$$! Chewy doesn't carry it and Amazon doesn't have a "prime" seller and the shipping is like $8

It is kinda expensive but right now I don't care one bit about the $$$. It's cheaper than the ER for sure. :joyful: Go to the link you sent me and there's a blue box that says something like "where to buy" When I clicked on it there was a place to put your zip code in and all the places that carry it were listed. I hope someplace nearby has it in stock for you to try with your kitty.
