Phew... Last night was rough, but I am honestly really happy we didn't fail this reduction again. She really dropped relatively low for her. Now BbB, but hopefully it is a quick one. This cycle looks almost identical to 9/7, which ended with her bouncing between blues and yellows for 3 cycles and then plunging into the limes. Knowing her, she'll save it for Sunday night 🙄

It has been a stressful week(ssss) at work, I am so ready for a few days off. Bell has been pretty darn good. I don't even want to type this because it will jinx it, but she's throwing up a lot less. I don't think she's really doing a better job at eating when I'm gone, but maybe her body clock is adjusting to the schedule better. That has been nice. I've also been setting alarms to make sure she eats at certain times, so that could be it too. I've also stopped feeding her full meal when she's starving. Just a small one and then a bigger one once she's got some food settled in her tummy.

Stepping back a little, she's made good progress sliding slowly down the dosage scale. It sometimes feels like a major battle to earn those 3 <50's for each reduction, so it is demoralizing when she fails a reduction right off the rip. Glad that didn't happen this time. I'm sure this is the wrong way to look at this, but it is hard not to when you are living it. Holding my breathe as to if/when we'll hit a wall in these reductions. Definitely not a linear process. She doesn't seem to be getting any more stable with the bouncing, but, as I think Wendy mentioned, some cats bounce all the way down the ladder. We shall see, doing my best.

Our routine when I come home mid-day from work to check on her is to:
1) Poke her and feed her a little bit because she's prolly ignored all the food I left out.
2) Clean up all the food I left out
3) Scramble to answer work questions while she is eating.
4) Make myself some tea and lay on the floor
5) Have Bell come sit on me and thank me for feeding her.

She looks mad here, only because she doesn't like me moving to take her picture. One must follow the rules of the lap cat. No movement, hardly any breathing. Thank you very much

So glad that Miss Bell seems to be doing so well (even if right on the edge of chaos half the time). Sorry for those stressful week(sss) at work and I hope things calm down a little for you there! Not sure how likely that is, but sending the wishes anyway.

Come back down gently, sweet girl!

(Xander is also a "do not have a complete thought" lap cat. And same when I give him an injection - no matter where they are in the house, my partner can't think too hard or Xander will nope out based on vibes, apparently.)
