I didn't shoot last night so technically he's a head of the game.

I'm a little nervous to read "Keep the teeth and gums clean and healthy; dental issues can bring a cat out of remission." The new vet made a point of checking his teeth a few weeks ago and said there were a couple things to keep an eye on, not issues yet.

Any suggestions there? I'm assuming Greenies are HC?

To anyone, am I still supposed to be testing ~4 times a day during the trial? The instructions yesterday were a little unclear whether to test normally or just test when receiving a higher number.

If green at pre-shot no more tests until the next pre-shot. If blue at pre-shot, test again at +3 or +4.

If you’ve developed any addiction to testing like a lot of us have, this is a trial for you too :)
 
Good luck with the trial (for both of you) - day 1 is looking good so far.

Greenies are definitely HC! Have you ever tried cleaning his teeth? There are dental wipes available at most pet stores. They are gauze wipes with something on them to help the teeth. Just rub them along the teeth - you'll be amazed what you get off. :blackeye: And easier to get in the mouth than a tooth brush if they aren't used to being cleaned. As an alternative, I used to give Neko bits of lightly boiled chicken gizzards. And before that, raw chicken neck pieces, but I had to stop that when her phosphorus started going up.

Kobe has a couple of teeth on the vet's watch list too. I'm glad you asked this question. I like Wendy's idea for the wipes. Do you think Kobe would ever speak to me again if I tried it? o_O

The Admiral's numbers are looking very good. Happy for you guys!
