Good morning!

Yesterday’s post:

Have any of you experienced behavioral/personality changes with your cat on Lantus?

Pookey looks, acts, and is eating normally. But does seem a little more tired and doesn’t hunt me down for high carb treats like he used to.

I have been laser focused on him, so maybe he has always been this tired and I didn’t particularly notice before? And on the treats - maybe since he was so high before it’s like humans and how they get with candy, they just want more and more.

Just trying to make sure I’m not missing any signs and know what to expect as we move forward.

Thank you. - Tim

Good morning Tim, glad to hear things seem to be going well.

I can’t answer your question about the personality change because I don’t think I’ve noticed it with Ivy.
But maybe other people have seen more specific nuances in personality around what you were asking.

How old is Pookie? ? (You might want to put that in your signature so people can see that right away.)
The only thing I can tell you is Ivy is 13 and she’s a little old lady and sleeps most of the day but that hasn’t really changed since she’s become diabetic. She’s just an older girl.
Not sure if that’s the case with your kitty or you are saying you’ve seen a difference since starting insulin.
Wishing you both a great day and a safe surf :cat:

Thanks Staci! Pookey is 12.5yrs old. So you and I are probably in a similar situation. I won’t overthink the sleeping for now unless I see a more drastic change.

Thank you for updating your signature, Tim. That’s helpful when trying to assess your situation :bighug:

Try not to sweat the sleeping. Just pay attention, as you are :cat:
