Good morning,

Here is yesterday:

Cabergoline-free day; going to EOD. It's clear Eddie is having a hard time with his mouth. I see his mouth and tongue working as if to get around pain or discomfort after he takes some food. It goes like this: I put food in front of him and talk to him. He starts to eat. Stops and rolls his tongue around. Pauses. I encourage him after a few moments. He starts again but on the most liquid-y area of the food, the mousse-like food, no chunks. It takes awhile but I can get enough food into him to take the shot.

If only I had a magic wand and could fix his dental problems now instead of having to wait until July. I would put him on antibiotics but I really don't want to interrupt any gains he's made by adding more stuff.

Could you try putting his food in a blender where he could “ drink” his food? Might help with not having to chew it. Maybe warming it might help too. Just some ideas..

Yes, thanks, I’ve made smoothies for him. And used warm water or bone broth.

PMPS Here we go again. Doesn't want to eat so we have food wars. He's really annoyed with me but what can I do. I'm going to bring him to the vet we like and ask her to do a mouth exam, just in case there's something going on, like an abscessed tooth or just awful resorption. What to do if so?

If infection, it may mean antibiotics.

Neko had issues eating at one point. It was due to excess soft tissue growth in her mouth. Since she couldn't have an operation at that point, there wasn't much I could do, but blend food.
What was Neko doing when she was eating or trying to eat?
