7-6 Little Man +11 117/AMPS 108/+2 105/+3 74/+7 107/PMPS 116/+2 103

Good morning - I don't see a condo for you guys yet today so I'm replying here.

Unfortunately, I don't have any suggestions since we are struggling with a similar cycle. Callie also has fast steep drops early (mostly in the day cycle) and then mini bounces or loss of duration resulting in higher numbers. As Bhooma said, we are also feeding raw and I actually stopped trying to slow Callie's drop with higher carbs at +1 because that seemed to negatively affect duration even more :banghead: Why don't these cats FOLLOW THE MANUAL??!!

Since Callie nadirs so early, there is also no way to stop feeding her at nadir. She would for sure start eating me alive :p

Good luck with your feeding experiments! I'll definitely be following 'cause I am probably going to have to try some experimenting myself again soon if we can't get rid of these blues...

We have a later preshot time because of my job so my condo is always later in morning.

I agree about these steep drops early nadir and mini bounces. I definitely think we are having same issue.

So far we moved our +5 feeding to +7.75 and skipped the +9. He did ok a little antsy but not eating my leg or vomiting acid. I think not getting the +5 caused him to have a higher number earlier but he did come down for amps... though he already does that at +9. Gonna try this for a couple cycles and see how it goes.

I too may just stop trying to feed higher carbs again and maybe his body will get used to the dive and settle down.

Better but have to do same thing with snacks for a couple cycles to see if its snack moving or fluke.

@Bandit's Mom
Agree! :-)

This might increase the diving and subsequent bouncing! Anyway, make only one change at a time so you know which one is working.

I am only going to do one thing at a time. He will still get higher carb at +1 and 2. It has to be 5% though it's what I have and I think it foolish to go up to 9%. Unless I do a 9 at +1 and 5 at +2. But not gonna make that change yet. Keep it same with the snack moving for now

Yeah. 9% is almost HC for him. If you have to intervene with HC in every cycle, it might mean he needs less insulin!

Well we decreased to the 1u hoping to flatten his bounce which it did but he ran higher overall and then seemed to have a few bouncy cycles so we increased.

I agree with Jessica why cant they just follow the manual :bookworm:LOL

The reduction did work initially. He saw a nadir of 62 on Day 5, but his nadirs and preshots started trending higher and it looked like he needed more juice. That's FD for you. A regular rollercoaster!

Waiting in the am cycle for LM is much harder. I have to head to work but we made to +7. Not sure about the number I gave him a bit of a break for a couple hours...I'll try to get a couple in between tests tonight....

Well here we are at +7.5 he is 102. That is better than 24 hours ago. However I checked him at +5 he was 68. He shot up in 2 hours. No food. Around +4.5 we did have that family of raccoons visiting at our glass door (babies so dumb) had madison and LM hissing and upset. Maybe that caused it? Maybe it would have happened anyway?
