Sparky’s been OTJ for over a week now and is doing great! I’ve noticed he’s not as hungry as he once was and am wondering if that’s normal? He is still eating & hungry, just not chowing down food like he once was. I’m thinking he’s either not liking certain flavors of his FF or since he’s no longer on insulin, he’s just not starving. Is this normal? Should I be concerned?

Hi Meghan. That's wonderful news that Sparky's off the juice! How has he been feeling since you posted this? Is he still eating less than he was before? My immediate response, after reading your post, was to think that often cats with higher numbers are hungry because their bodies aren't getting enough nutrients. It is possible that because Sparky's numbers are regulated he may just naturally be eating less. It's also possible that his appetite is decreasing because of age or activity level. I would think, as long as he's not showing any signs of not feeling well, I wouldn't worry as long as he's still eating well enough and not losing weight. And if you remain concerned, maybe a trip to the vet may be in order. I hope everything is going well with Sparky still! Congratulations!
