Not good. I had to leave for work appointments at 1pm and just got home and she was in the closet where she was when l left. That's her l don't feel good spot. :(
I hate knowing she's not feeling good. She ate a little this morning and not much since.
 
Please tempt her with some food. Her not eating is concerning.
Maybe a bit of tuna or something she really loves on top of her food would tempt her to eat?
 
Has she started the thyroid meds? Be sure to get some ketone tests until she gets back to feeling good and eating. Deb mentioned that often the treatment for fluid in the lungs includes a course of antibiotics. Did the vet mention that?
 
I'm taking Phoebe back to the Veterinary when they open. Phoebe is experiencing strained/labored breathing. Not drinking water or eating now.
 
The only thing I worry about without insulin, is ketones. Were you able to get a test for that? If she’s negative I don’t think there’s a problem holding off until you see the vet in the next hour or so. Be sure the vet tests for them too.
 
Little Baby Phoebe crossed over today at 10:20a.m. Thank you all that helped us with everything. I'll miss her more than anything. My heart is broken into a thousand pieces.

Oh my gosh this is heart wrenching! I am so sorry for your loss ((((Eric)))) It sounds like you were the best cat daddy you could be and I KNOW Phoebe is thanking you right now. My heart goes out to you.
What a cute little girl.
My Waldo (avatar) had RCM and had to have his lungs drained. He rebounded quickly but like Phoebe, I came home and found him hiding...Please feel the love extend to you. We all hurt when one of our own passes.
Fly free little Phoebe. Land, oh so softly, back to daddy's heart...forever.

I just can’t seem to put into words my grief for you. Only having seen the dedication you’ve shown here to your fur baby Phoebe, I am completely heartbroken for you. I know your paths will cross again, when the rainbow bridge brings you together once more.
My most heartfelt condolences to you, Eric.

My heart breaks for you, tears as I'm writing this. She had the best dad ever and knew that you loved her like crazy. Please take care of yourself, she will always be with you. She is back to being a healthy girl, playing with her all of her favorite toys:bighug::bighug:cat_wings>o

Sharon thank you so much for everything you did for Phoebe and me. Thank you so much for answering me when l reached out in 7/2/16 in my DKA hysteria on the message board knowing not what to do! You guided me and l was able to save her! I'm forever grateful to you and the years of happiness you gave Phoebe and I. ❤❤❤:cat::bighug:cat_wings>o

Eric, you don't know me but because of another long time member with a Phoebe I always saw your posts. I was never a Prozinc user which is why you never heard from me, I had nothing to contribute. You gave Phoebe 14 years of love that will never be forgotten. Please take care of yourself. :bighug:

I'm so sorry for the loss of your Phoebe. It's such a shock when they suddenly present these problems. Even if it's been going on for a while, they hide it so well, and it gives you no time to prepare. You were the best hooman, taking such good care of her and giving her so many happy years after the diabetes diagnosis. If only we could insulate them from all other illnesses the same way we take control of FD...

Fly free sweet Phoebe and land softly. You're going to have lots of friends at the bridge to welcome you and show you the best places to nap, the fields with the most butterflies to chase and the sunniest spots on the clouds. Before you know it (since time doesn't matter there) your daddybean will be there too and you'll both be together forever. cat_wings>o

Thank you so much. It's extremely heartbreaking knowing that they can't be with us on the full journey of are life's here on earth. But I smile remembering the short glimpse of beauty and love they shear with us knowing we'll all see them again. ❤:rb_icon:
