After an awful pm cycle a few nights ago, with uncharacteristic mid cycle blacks, which I don't think I've seen in 2+ years, bump in dose gets us too low...sigh. I'm tired of this, truly.

Black. Could it have been contraband? 1.5 units only held for 4 cycles.
Good that Mav is coming up for you tonite.
Hi Kel, maybe contraband, can't rule it out since the drooler gets dry...a piece or two may have escaped for Mav to find. The rest of the mid cycles before were trending highish...busy week, need to get the meter data in SS. I might have called failed reduction too early...tough call there for me. It very often feels like Groundhog Day... nothing really ever changes. Tonight's cycle is interesting though, normally he retreats to higher numbers quickly following early cycle lows. Staying lower as long as he has is a bit of a surprise.

He does keep things interesting
No kidding!

Just checking out your SS and noticed that 10/30 and 11/02 he was in the blue range at PMPS and then gave you greens a few hours later. Personally, I would be hesitant to shoot without a PMPS. From the numbers on your spreadsheet, he's been kind of all over the place PMPS. You would then know to be alert if he was in the blue at PMPS.

I would LOVE to see Freckles get some blue and green numbers. She's a lemon lover currently. :(

Yes, I see what you mean, Freckles does seem fond of yellows!. I certainly don't suggest others do what I do...it is based on his eating patterns and history that I know with him over the last few years of gathering data. My trouble is nothing ever changes...in 2017 and 2018 I used to test a lot...it got me nowhere but frustrated and disappointed. So I've had to adjust my expectations.

I see Mav is keeping you on your toes. This time around on insulin, Furball is giving me high numbers for 2 or 3 days and it looks like she needs an increase but then she comes back down and gives me good number for a day or two. I've learned to wait it out and see if she comes down. Is it possible Mav's patterns are changing?

Good to hear from you and Mav. Sorry he is still being unpredictable. I remember how frustrating it was to be doing everything right, but the numbers just don’t respond. I’m hoping he is still his happy, playful self. That’s all that matters. Keep doing the best you can with this unpredictable dance. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

I feel so sorry to hear this Christie! If things have not changed since the beginning maybe you can try a different way of doing!! I see nice blues and a lot of greens this week; the black could be from lower numbers! I noticed you often decrease when he's in mid-green, maybe holding the dose and increasing when you don't see greens for a while... Maybe Mav is ready for a little more juice ! I'm not telling you what to do, I know you know! I just wish I could help you find a solution... maybe a magic wand would help !! :bighug::bighug:
