prior thread May 31, the wisdom in the comments there hit home and I appreciate the advice

Felix's BG is still running high, and I'm trying to decide whether to increase tonight or wait until tomorrow night. This dose was really active just a few days ago, and his depot is probably still messed up from one or more missed shots since then. Plus I have to be away tomorrow for my stepdad's sleep study and don't want Felix getting too busy then. The vet said to continue with his current dose and didn't say that his new meds would affect his BG, but I'm reading that Lasix could do so.
I think he feels pretty good but not 100%. I'm hoping that once his BG is down and once he's recovered physically and psychologically from his hospital stay that he'll feel even better. He mutters little complaint meows, but he also snuggles and purrs and hangs out in his window seat; he eats pretty well.
I'll keep this in mind. We have hot, humid summers, too. At the hospital, Felix wanted to have his bare belly against the cool tile floor, and for a couple days his skin looked red, especially his ears and where they'd shaved his arms, so I wondered if he was susceptible to overheating. He's a healthy-looking pink now. Sweet pink tummy velvet

So sorry for your dx. One thing my vet told me with my previous kitty Smokey when was diagnosed with hcm and had asthma, with summer coming keep the house or at least one room very cold for him.
We don't have central air conditioning. We use window unit in spare bedroom that keeps the back end of house cool and a portable unit in the dining room that keeps the front end cool. Portable unit is only run when we are home and not when we are in kitchen or dining room. The window unit keeps the spare room really really cold. Smokey would seek out that room and hang out in there most of the time. It help him immensely as we are a high humidity area.
