Hi yall! Sorry I've been MIA the past few days. I didnt really have anything new to post.
I FINALLY talked to the vet today. She seemed very concerned how low Gordy's sugar was on the blood test. I told her I monitor him closely. She was really pushing me to drop him off there for a curb.... but no one wins there, so I told her no and offered to perform my mine at home. She agreed that a curve done there wouldn't yield what we'd want. I have Monday off, so I'll be doing it then.
As for his thyroid... We both agreed to get a total T test done (not the free one) and go from there. She said if this comes back fine then we won't do meds. She is concerned because it was higher than most. She also said it was odd to see a cat with other health "issues" have hyper-T. I guess its mostly hypo-T when there's other things going on. I'm dropping him off Saturday for them to steal his blood. (They had no appointments left Saturday, so we came to an agreement LOL) I hope they're able to get it without sedation... because thats not cheap.
Nothing about the kidney stuff.... but I think we're just going to keep an eye on it. I can't really afford to change foods, so... *fingers crossed*
