01/01 Nelli (+10.5) 158 (PMPS) 198 (+4) 228 (+5) 249 (+8.25) 279

In a well to tightly-regulated cat, you expect the numbers to just be flat. There’s no difference between 52 and 55 so she has nadired somewhere mid cycle. I’ve seen some cats that were so tightly regulated that their BG was almost the same for every test throughout the cycle. That’s what lantus and levemir should do....in a perfect world. So don’t get too worried about exactly where her nadir is. If she heads up from here, her nadir is in that 52-55 range. Or she might stay flat all cycle.

On SS... Reflecting to me AMPS was 1.75h late
Ok...there is a much better way to show that which all members will understand better. I’ll fix it for you so you can see.

Love it! Brand new all green ss.
Tell Nelli to keep it that way. Maybe trick her into thinking the only color the ss accepts is green. (we'll just ignore the blue amps)
I think she's trying to redeem herself after being very naughty last night, disappearing most of night outside … keeping mommy up again for most of the night :(
I pulled the silent treatment on her when she finally showed backup at front door. Needless to say she knew that I was not happy :woot:

@Marje and Gracie ... She has progressively been giving me a tough time testing. I kept testing today because she wasn't going up? When can I if at all stop testing realizing she is staying flat not going to go down… after 3 flat mid cycles for example?

I don’t mean to cop out on an answer but you have to learn her cycles and know when it’s safe to quit testing. ECID. If she’s staying pretty flat and you are past mid-cycle, you can probably let it go a little longer....say 1-1/2 to two hours. Some cats will surf safely and flatly for hours and hours. I never could trust Gracie much. That’s why this is all about “Know Thy Cat”. ;)

Edited to Add: you also just reduced her dose and so her depot might be a bit more active. I’m not sure why you reduced; it looked like you were doing three times between 40-50 on separate days before reducing but she only went there twice on the 3.25u dose. But, I’d let it ride and see how she does. You can always go back up if the numbers start creeping up.

Well, ok... so based upon your wealth of expert knowledge- would you plz comment on the number of test I did? Truly, Marje this is how I learn- Did go back over SS history did not see where the flat 50's went this long?

Again...not trying to dodge you but I always err on the side of caution because I’m coming from having a cat that could be flat green for three hours and then drop 40 in one half hour at a time I wouldn’t expect her to.

If it had been me, I’d have tested at +2 because I’m a big +2 fan. Then I would have seen where she was and gone from there. For Gracie, I generally did not stop testing until I saw an upward trend that wasn’t just meter variance. Because Nelli was hovering around the 50s at mid cycle, I would have tested as you did.

Glad that Nelli came home finally! Naughty girl, Nelli...... Nice cycle today and I hope she can hold the reduction. You should as soon as the previous dose depot is drained, usually in 4 cycles. If she starts trending upwards, you will know to take her back up.
