Good Morning L & L ~

Not sure what is happening, Bubba had two very flat green cycles then last night he decided to trend upwards. I thought the PMPS last night was inflated due to stress as he wanted outside so badly yesterday as the nice air streaming through open windows was teasing him. He stayed in the blues last night ( +6=104 ) and up this AM.

He pooped the day before yesterday which is his norm to go every other day so I don't think it's that.

ETA: he was pooping as I was posting, so we can take that off the table.

Vines to all Beans and Kitties in need.

He listened to y'all! 67 @ almost +3. Of course he would come down now as I am leaving to go help my BFF pack up her kitchen for her move. He has been racing around like a wild caged animal. He is sort of a caged animal, isn't he?? Poor boy. DH lectured me today about letting him go outside and be happy. Momma is contemplating all the ramifications of that. Remission again is not looking good to me right now. He's too unpredictable this time with his numbers. Venting.....

I can understand your venting... he seems so close and then he shoots up. The dives to the lime greens are interesting as well. Whatcha doing there, Bubba?:confused:

What are all the ramifications of letting him out?

Negatives
~ Not being able to control his calorie ratio to insulin as he hunts and eats his kill.
~ Worms from the prey ( I believe that along with the dental stress, a gut full of worms took him out of remission this time)
~ Him not being available to check his BG's if he's outside so I won't be able to know if he has earned reduction.

Positives
~ He is happier
~He gets exercise which lowers BGs
~He has quality of life doing cat stuff......

It's a wash. Can you think of any thing I missed . It breaks my heart for him to stand back at the French door watching Forrest sitting on the stoop and seeing the dogs come and go.

I dunno since Bronx fears the outside and my last kitty never went as far as a few feet from the door but then hung there all day. But I would say the positives you mention outweigh the negatives

Oh my, the cons and the pros are each compelling.
Would mr independent Bubba be interested in trying some leash walking with you? That way he could enjoy most of the benefits of being outdoors in the good weather and you can control the cons aspect of his outdoor adventuring. What do you think?
