Just got caught up this week, so sorry you are having a rough time but it's great that found a reputable holistic vet. Sometimes they are the only ones who can help in certain situations.
 
Hi Lizzie, hope today will work out to be a less stressful day all around and that you got some good sleep.

Hope the vetty vectors come into a smooth sync for you and Gizmo. And that he has a smooth day, happy and steady.

History:
AMPS=294, +1.5=245

Didn't eat his +4.5 today. Giving Mirtz and Ondansteron along with his Cerenia and BP meds.

Going to try. Vet office "JC" said they have to test to see if it is regenerative ot non-regenerative before they would treat him. I have been trying to figure out what the difference in the treatment is and it isn't clear to me. He is not feeling well at all. :(

I was able to get him to finish his PS meal and got his meds into him along with 1/2 Canna. May give him a dose of pain meds in a bit.

I feel so lost. I don't have any guidance. New vet appt is Monday 10:20a and phone consult with holistic vet is Monday @ 2p. Going to be a long weekend if I have to fight him on eating.

Oh, Lizzie I hope he will start eating. Give him what ever he will eat. Young again, higher carb canned , what ever it takes. Hopefully your vet interview apt will be able to shed some light on the regenerative or non-regenerative so that you will feel comfortable to start what ever treatment either of those require.

Lizzie , when mine get like this I syringe feed food and water in small amounts , just to keep food going in til I sort things out . Do you ever give him SEB for his stomach ? With him on meds tho that is tough cos can’t be given within 1-2 hours before or after . Maybe run by a health food store this weekend and get a homeopathic remedy Nux Vomica 6c. I keep it on hand cos Dr Pat often starts with that one and you’d already have it ready . Prayers, prayers and more prayers :bighug::bighug::bighug:

I gave him 1/2 of an x-strength. Any more and he is too zoned out and doesn't care about eating.

Can't syringe feed during the day when I am at work. I give MMR AM/PM but skipped it tonight so I could give meds early.

It would be Nux Vomica 6c and 30c ....I’ll recheck my sources and send you info ASAP tonight :bighug::bighug::bighug:
 
Just checked amazon ...you will need to order Nux Vomica 6c and Nux Vomica 30c . Elmo is on the 6c 3x a week to help his kidneys and liver handle the thyroid meds . Funny it says for hangovers:) I order the Boirin brand ( blue tube) . Added bonus is shelf life of these remedies is usually several years . Is there a Vitamin Shoppe store anywhere near you ? Last time I bought from an actual store that’s where I found remedies besides our natural food store . I’m praying this is what she starts you with but better to be ready than waiting for remedies to come . Keeping you and Gizmo in my prayers and thoughts . Really feeling your pain and anxiety :bighug::(:bighug:
 
Me again :woot: Just checked and both Vitamin Shoppe and Whole Foods carry Boirin homeopathic remedies . Also , in these places you usually can only get 30c potency so since you want to start the remedy as soon as possible let her know you can only get 30c for now .

It’s small white pellets ...first time I used them I thought “ what the heck good is this ?!?!” But we were desperate and willing to try anything and the results were wonderful . I usually carefully put one in a syringe , add some water and let it dissolve before syringing it down . Can’t imagine trying to successfully getting that pellet down his throat without touching it :woot:
 
Looks like GNC does carry remedies . Usually I get the 30c potency from stores and 6c or 12c from other sources. So glad to help and believing and praying big time that this helps sweet Gizmo :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:
