I can monitor him all day, that's no problem. Should I give him a reduced dose? I just tested him again and he's holding fast at 56! At a number that low, I am afraid to give even a reduced dose.If you can't be around to monitor all day, I think you should skip. The depot should be drained from the reduced dose yesterday morning, so it shouldn't be affecting his numbers today. He's just been giving you lower numbers lately.

Wendy, I am terrified he will drop dangerously low if I shoot the full dose. He sometimes goes very low even when I shoot at higher numbers, it's become normal for him to spend the day in the 50s and 60s. I wouldn't worry so much except he's getting a pretty big dose, and at 56, I don't really want him to go much lower. If you are following TR, you have to get used to occasionally shooting lower numbers. If you can monitor, I would shoot the full dose. This may be the cycle where he tells you he wants or decrease. Or not.![]()

4 points is well within meter variance. Personally I never shot below 51, but that's only cause that's the lowest safe numbers I ever got. I have seen people with acrocats and WAY bigger doses shoot into the 50's. It's not the size of the dose that matters. The only way you'll find if this dose is too big for him, is for him to let you tell you it is. Or he could just surf all day long.I skipped a shot after number below 60 the other day. That is way below my comfort zone.

A lot of cats continue to drop from not eating and the numbers are so similar, so yes, I would shoot the full dose especially if he eats breakfast good for you.Okay. He's dropped to 52/53 now, I guess because he's waiting for breakfast? Still shoot the full dose?

Squallie has been pushing you to shoot lower lately.Crossing them with you.Now I need everybody to watch this thread for a 911, lol. Seriously, I pray he doesn't drop low enough to warrant a 911 post. Fingers and paws crossed.
Much appreciated!Crossing them with you.

He certainly has! I'm scared to death right now! Thanks for the help and support, Wendy.Way to go Lucy!Squallie has been pushing you to shoot lower lately.

I will, Bobbie. Thanks for your help and encouragement! And check at +1 since this is your lowest shoot to date.

Thanks, Sandi! I think you hit the nail on the head, I think he wants a reducie, too!I think you should skip even if you are home and able to monitor. I think Squallie has been begging for a big reducie for a while now.

When he was first born until he was about 8 weeks old, he meowed almost constantly, sounded like he was complaining, or "squalling." Hence the name Squallie (Squall), so, loud and complaining, like a big storm or squall! It's funny because he almost never meows now, has been like that for years and years -when he does meow, it's adorable because it sounds creaky and rusty, lol!Where did his name come from? Did I ask that already?![]()
Thanks, Yong, hugs are always appreciated!I'm sorry Lucy, I can't offer any dosing advice. Uncharted territory for me but I can give![]()

I tjought it must be loud meowing. Yes, I have not phoebes meow in about a year. I knew then something was off, just thought she was getting older. Often when they drop early, they nadir a lot earlier too. You got this.If he's that low at +1 I'm terrified to think what he will be at +4 or +5!
And third time under 50 so looks like he really did want that reducie.

Thanks, Carol! It always makes me smile when I see Murphy's adorable little face!I feel for you, Lucy. Hoping that HC and karo will keep him safe
thanks for the info about the name - I always wondered

I wish he'd be a little more subtle about letting me know how badly he wants it, he needn't beat me over the head to make his point, and cause my heart to sink in terror! He's definitely got that reducie, lol.Often when they drop early, they nadir a lot earlier too. You got this. And third time under 50 so looks like he really did want that reducie.
Squallie must've been talking to Murphy - he's green for the 1st time in a long timeThanks, Carol! It always makes me smile when I see Murphy's adorable little face!
