Don't know what to do, AMPS is only 56. I'm stalling but I doubt he'll come up enough in the next hour for me to be able to shoot a full dose! I'm grateful for any advice anyone might have!

If you can't be around to monitor all day, I think you should skip. The depot should be drained from the reduced dose yesterday morning, so it shouldn't be affecting his numbers today. He's just been giving you lower numbers lately.

I can monitor him all day, that's no problem. Should I give him a reduced dose? I just tested him again and he's holding fast at 56! At a number that low, I am afraid to give even a reduced dose.

If you are following TR, you have to get used to occasionally shooting lower numbers. If you can monitor, I would shoot the full dose. This may be the cycle where he tells you he wants or decrease. Or not. :cat:

Wendy, I am terrified he will drop dangerously low if I shoot the full dose. He sometimes goes very low even when I shoot at higher numbers, it's become normal for him to spend the day in the 50s and 60s. I wouldn't worry so much except he's getting a pretty big dose, and at 56, I don't really want him to go much lower. :nailbiting::nailbiting::nailbiting:

I skipped a shot after number below 60 the other day. That is way below my comfort zone.
4 points is well within meter variance. Personally I never shot below 51, but that's only cause that's the lowest safe numbers I ever got. I have seen people with acrocats and WAY bigger doses shoot into the 50's. It's not the size of the dose that matters. The only way you'll find if this dose is too big for him, is for him to let you tell you it is. Or he could just surf all day long.

Okay.:nailbiting::nailbiting::nailbiting::nailbiting::nailbiting:

Lucy, I agree with Wendy, if you can monitor today, I would shoot. With the reduced dose yesterday, the depot has drained some. If he is eating well for you and usually comes up easily with steering, I would shoot.

Many thanks to all for the help and support! Now I need everybody to watch this thread for a 911, lol. Seriously, I pray he doesn't drop low enough to warrant a 911 post. Fingers and paws crossed.

Where did his name come from? Did I ask that already? :)
When he was first born until he was about 8 weeks old, he meowed almost constantly, sounded like he was complaining, or "squalling." Hence the name Squallie (Squall), so, loud and complaining, like a big storm or squall! It's funny because he almost never meows now, has been like that for years and years -when he does meow, it's adorable because it sounds creaky and rusty, lol!

I tjought it must be loud meowing. Yes, I have not phoebes meow in about a year. I knew then something was off, just thought she was getting older. Love the name. :)

Okay folks, he's dropped to 45 at +1. Now I'm REALLY scared. If he's that low at +1 I'm terrified to think what he will be at +4 or +5! I have given him some HC (20%) food and a bit of Karo, will test again in about 30 minutes.

Often when they drop early, they nadir a lot earlier too. You got this. :bighug: And third time under 50 so looks like he really did want that reducie.
I wish he'd be a little more subtle about letting me know how badly he wants it, he needn't beat me over the head to make his point, and cause my heart to sink in terror! He's definitely got that reducie, lol.

Congrats on the reducie! Whenever Bubba dropped low in the beginning of the cycle, he nadired earlier also.

Lucy, change your +1 color to the light green for under 50. Aren't you glad this is in the daytime?
