Busy couple of days with lots of drama. Our school has now issued a travel warning for everyone that is not a US citizen. Since it appears likely that there will be another executive order on immigration, they are recommending that we postpone all non-essential international travel. It is not likely that I will be affected, but everything is in flux and I don't want to to risk not being allowed to re-enter. So, in other words, it looks like I won't be able to attend my mother's 70th birthday in Germany.

I also decided that I will indeed go ahead with Lenny's surgery. The neurologist, his regular vet as well as a vet that a friend of mine works for all agree that surgery will give him the best chance for a full recovery. Now I just need to figure out the timeline... as soon as I figure out if I will go to Germany or not. In a way, it's of course easier to not go... but I feel really bad for my mom.

Not much new with the feline crew. Walter has been bouncing. Mandarin is doing great. And little Iris is still her snorkely, ornery, lovey self.

Now I better run to get to my volunteer shift. I'll be back to visit some condos later today.

I hope Walter clears the bounce soon. I'm glad you have a consensus on the surgery for Lenny. I hope you can get your schedule straightened out so you can get it scheduled. Sorry it looks like you won't be able to go to your mom's birthday in Germany. I'm glad your feline crew is doing well.

I'm sorry to hear you may not be able to make the trip to Germany.
It does sound like surgery will provide Lenny with the best chance of recovery but I know how stressful it is making that decision. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

I'm glad you were able to get multiple opinions about treatment for Lenny. Sure you're still on edge with it though. :bighug::bighug::bighug: Walter, come on down nice and easy buddy. Glad to hear the rest of your crew is doing well and give them extra scritches for me.

I'd do some further investigation about your International Travel Plans at the state and federal level before making a decision.

Walter is thoroughly enjoying his trampoline that Amazon so kindly delivered at warp speed. Glad to hear the rest of the kitty crew are doing well.

I'm glad you have a consensus on Lenny's surgery but I know it's still totally nerve wracking. Sorry you may not get to go to Germany for your mom's birthday. Maybe you'll be spending that time helping Lenny recuperate. But I know it's still hard to think you'll miss her birthday.

I hope that Lenny's surgery will go well.
It is really deplorable that our country has come to this! Next thing they will want to build a wall around the whole country! I so hope you'll be able to celebrate your mother's birthday with her.
Lookin' good, Mandarin! Room for improvement, Walter.

Hugs and scritches,

I am glad the kitty's are all doing well, with the exception of the pink tutu. Good to hear agreement amongst vets on the path forward for Lenny. :bighug:

Ugh on the travel plans. I have a trip booked for the US in a couple of months and I keep wondering if I have wasted my money. I can't imagine this will do much for tourism.

Poor Walt - bouncy, bouncy, I know the feeling
I really cannot believe that you would have an issue traveling to Germany - if it actually comes to that, Canada better build a wall to keep us out. It's only been one month of this chaos? Can we survive two? Seriously, Christina, I just don't see EU passport holders having an issue. I'm also happy there may be some resolution to the Lenny dilemma - let me know if there is anything I can help you with

Hi Kristina,
Sending lots of vines for you and your tribe and for Lenny's possible surgery.

Hope it will be possible for you to visit your mother even if not on her birthday.

Wishing you Godspeed and gentle days ahead.
