Yesterday's condo

Two lovely cycles for Walter yesterday! He stayed on the surfboard all night and is starting the day on the beach. :D Apparently, Mandarin also liked the extra snacks during the night. :D

...unfortunately, I still have several sick animals. Capone's "hot spot" (or whatever it is) looks even worse today. He has a vet appointment tomorrow morning since I have to work all day today. Poor wee Iris is having so much discharge from her nose, she can hardly breathe. Hopefully, the results from the culture will come in today and we can figure out something. She just looks miserable right now.

I hope the culture results are in and show something that can easily help little Iris. Poor little Capone, hope it's nothing to worry about. Walter you're looking good buddy, keep surfing. Hope Lenny is feeling better.

Ugh on Capone's hot spot and on poor Iris's little nose. Vines for both of them and paws crossed for some helpful news from the culture. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Walter, you look good in your blue and green shorts! And Mandarin, I'm so proud of you for being so brave and peeking around the corner at your party yesterday! :D:D:D

Christina, I don't now how you do it with some many furbabies to juggle different problems :bighug:

Walter is looking good :)

Keeping good thoughts for litte Iris that you get some answers . :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

I guess Walter really missed those sharks.:eek::eek: Glad I ran home for lunch. Gave honey and HC food at +3.5 and left some more HC food out before I had to run back to work. Now let's hope that he will behave himself until I get back. :nailbiting:

Mandarin told Walter that now that he's OTJ, it's up to Walter to go shark hunting so they can both still get some HC.

This is definitely not how I wanted to start this week... or any week for that matter. I had every intention of coming right home after my second class, but when I went back to my office, someone had left an anonymous death threat on my office phone. I spent an hour and a half dealing with campus police and making reports - and in between panicking over what just happened, I kept freaking out about Walter. I am still a bit shaky, but I am home. I don't even have a suspicion for who the caller was and if it's a disgruntled student or a complete stranger. Glad that Walter was okay - I hope he didn't dip too low while I was gone, but he seemed in good spirits.

Oh geez Christina....what is wrong with people. Wish I had some comforting words but just be extra vigilant.
Thank you - I will be... and the campus police said that they will walk by my classroom, at least for my night class, and walk me to my car if I want them to. It seems a bit silly right now, but I might change my mind on that once it's dark and I have to walk across a deserted campus.

Safety in numbers especially when there is no one around. Mace is a good thing to have if you can get it. :bighug::bighug: Or there's the "old school" city girl way which is a small travel size can of aerosol hairspray and a lighter. Sorry, can't help myself..and totally serious. Just be careful.

What a horrible thing to happen. I agree with Amy. Do have a campus officer walk you to your car. No need to try to be brave about it. It's just sensible.

I think Walter saw Mandarin out in the deep water and wanted to go play with him. Mandarin, please confine your swimming to the shallow end so your brother doesn't get any more of those ideas!

Poor Capone. Hot spots are so aggravating, for critter and bean. I hope it heals soon. They were a major issue for Cinco.

Sending mega vines for Iris. I hope they figure out what it is soon and get her some relief.

Oh Christina! How very scary that is!!! Was it a personal threat or a general one? We are living in very very scary times!!!!

It was a general threat and nothing seemed to indicate that the caller even knew me... but it also came a week and a half after two of my colleagues' offices were vandalized. So it seems like our department is being targeted.

:bighug::bighug::bighug:

Being a teacher can be scary in the times we live. Lock down drills are important, but also freak me out. I would obviously put myself in front of anyone targeting my students, but I also need to come home to my daughter.

I'd take up the offer to walk you to your car. Please be safe. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

First green pre-shot of the year for Walter! :D ...and thank you so much for all of your concern. I have never felt unsafe at my job before - so this is all very unsettling. I am still pretty sure that this was just random and that there's no actual danger... but you can't help but worry. I will for sure be more careful and more aware of my surroundings (and I am the first one to admit that I am oftentimes on my phone as I am walking to my car and not paying any attention to what's going on around me).
